Salford 522 is a compact pneumatic seeder with follower double-disc coulters (pressure up to 230 kg) for sowing various crops on stubble (in combination with disc knives) or on a cultivated ground.
The Salford 522 air seeder subframe system is designed with operator comfort and versatility in mind. The high clearance design allows for free pass of crop residues and easy replacement of wear parts.
Each subframe is independently controlled, providing exceptional depth control. This control system prevents the rear subframe coulters from becoming too deep.
An option for inter-row fertilization can be added as additional equipment. The precise depth of application of fertilizer is controlled by the Salford 500 series coulter.
You can also add Coil-Tech coulter with cutting blades to the front subframe of the planter for no-till processing.
If additional fertilization or processing of crop residues is no longer necessary, the subframe with additional equipment can be easily raised.
Each pair of subframes 522 can be controlled independently, allowing fertilizer, seed and residue application processes to be adjusted as needed during planting.
The 28 cm distance between the working elements provides easy access when replacing wear parts, as well as easy passage through wet soil with heavy crop residues.
Patented Salford Coil-Tech Coulters prepare the seed bed for gentle seed placement and subsequent healthy, abundant emergence. Mounting the discs on a separate subframe prevents disc vibration from affecting the seeding equipment.
